The World Cancer Day is one singular initiative under which the entire world can unite together in the fight against this global cancer epidemic on February 4.
World Cancer Day aims to save millions of preventable deaths each year by raising awareness and education about cancer, and pressing governments and individuals across the world to take action against the disease. The primary goal of the World Cancer Day is to significantly reduce illness and death caused by cancer by 2020.
Festac Town Community Builders Initiative intends to mark the World Cancer Day in the Festac Town Community on the 4th of February 2016.
The project is tagged “WALK THE WALK FOR CANCER FESTAC TOWN” which involves a walk around the community, a free screening exercise and advocacy to create awareness about this global disease The event was divided into the School campaigns and Community Outreach
